PANEL APPLICATIONS ARE NOW CLOSED.
To be considered for panel space, all prospective panelists must complete an application. While submitting an application doesn't guarantee acceptance, providing detailed information is crucial. The panel jury will use this information to evaluate your proposal.
Panelists are still required to purchase a badge. For every hour you host a panel, you’ll earn 3 volunteer hours. Once you accumulate 8 volunteer hours, you’ll be eligible for reimbursement.
Only the primary panelist will receive full volunteer credit. Additional panelists will receive one-third of the credit, equating to 1 volunteer hour for every panel hour they participate in.
Safety is a top priority for your panel, ensuring the well-being of both you and your audience. If your presentation involves unique or potentially dangerous elements, please provide credentials, references, and specific details in your form. Your panel must not endanger anyone, including yourself and your audience, regardless of their willingness to participate.
Panel rooms will have standard power access for your equipment.
To ensure smooth proceedings, panelists must arrive on time for their scheduled panels and allow enough time for setup.
All panelists, presenters, or assistants must meet the age requirements corresponding to the panel's rating.
To maintain age-appropriate content, panels should be assigned ratings based on their content. Additionally, all presenters must be of the appropriate age for that rating. Panel ratings fall into the following categories:
While shorter panels (45 – 105 minutes) are easier to schedule, we welcome longer panels. However, longer panels may have limitations in scheduling and availability. We typically allocate 15 minutes for setup and breakdown for each panel. If you require more setup time, please provide an explanation in your application, and we will assess whether it can be accommodated.
Each panel must designate one point of contact responsible for communicating with the programming staff. This person will check in with the staff at the panel's beginning and keep us informed of any developments affecting the panel's execution.
Life can be unpredictable, and if you're unable to host your panel, please notify us as soon as possible. However, if you fail to show up for your panel without notice, your badge will be revoked, and you may be ineligible for future fan panels.
To ensure a seamless panel, if you plan to bring any equipment beyond a laptop with an HDMI output, please inform us in advance. Failing to clear equipment beforehand may prevent its use during the panel. Let's avoid panel mishaps and ensure a successful presentation!
If you require any specific equipment or resources from us, aside from a microphone and chairs, please include these details in your application.
Each venue has its rules regarding crafting materials, and any such materials must be cleared with us in advance. While we can't list all restrictions here, we'll emphasize that bringing glitter or silly string into our venues may lead to dire consequences! Your cooperation is greatly appreciated.
